I've started a new blog (or maybe it's a newsletter) of Stock Market Talk. After three down years, are things looking up?

It turns out that the free KCLS WiFi signal from the Library Connection at Crossroads is strong enough to reach all the way to the Starbucks by the news stand. That's about 200 yards away. This opens up some new possibilities for free coffee shop WiFi. There are no coffee places near the Lake Hills library, nor the Newport library, and there may be one near the big Bellevue library, but I know for sure that there's a coffee shop across the street from the new Issaquah library. It's in the old Odd Fellow's Hall, a building I once considering renting or buying to make into a folk club. (The IOOF hall is one of the oldest buildings still standing in Washington state, by the way.) I will have to check out the linkage there. [Tried it - the Olde Town Bakery and Deli - no WiFi. The espresso wasn't so good either.]

Hey, hey, I'm entering this on my little Sony VAIO laptop using the free WiFi at Crossroads! The bandwidth is courtesy of the King County Library Connection down by the big chess set. And I'm sipping a latte from Starbucks. All very nice, except Crossroads is a little far from home. So Tully's, when do we get free WiFi?

I also got confirmation that the Capitol Hill Internet Café has free WiFi.
