CutePDF Writer is a free download, based on open source. It lets any Windows program "print" to a PDF file. Seems to work very smoothly, no adware or shareware pestering.

The Air Car
The Air Car

A car that runs on compressed air. Inventor Guy Négre has developed a car capable of a top speed of 110 km/h (69 mph), 300 kilometres (188 miles) on one tank of fuel and at a cost of just a penny per kilometre. All of this at "zero pollution". In fact the car cleans the air it uses!

Caltech Grad Student Held in Arson Fires of 125 SUVs
Suspect in blazes that caused $3.5 million in damage is traced by FBI agents using e-mail to LA Times.

Well here's a nice scandal in the small Caltech community (only a few hundred grad students). Such excitement at the Milliken Library hasn't been seen since Ken Higgins ran around the edge of the roof barefoot in the rain.
