Octopus Horse

This morning Bobby asked me if he could get an Octopus Horse. I asked him, what like half horse, half octopus and he said yes. Then I asked him if it lived on land or under the sea. Under the sea, he said. With a horse's head and eight legs? Yes, he said.

Then Shelly asked him about it. Turns out he wanted an obstacle course.

Coughing in movies

Shelly and I went to see a movie last week. I won't even tell you which one, so this won't be a spoiler, but one of the characters coughs. I almost broke out laughing, because no one ever coughs in a movie, and of course we knew immediately that this character would die of tuberculosis. People cough all the time in real life, esp. noticeable in movie theaters, of course, but never ever in a movie unless it's part of the plot. Yet another thing I find hokey about movies.

Beautiful panorama from Burning Man

360° panoramic photograph from Burning Man 2004. How do they take such a photo? It's amazing.
