Yet another social networking site. I find it interesting and easy to find others with my interests. But I don't see any of my friends on here. If you join (it's free of course) add me as a friend (even if I don't know you!). That is all.
Another melodica player is Paul Oscher. His Hohner melodica, with pickup, is shown here. Paul got his break from Muddy Waters, who had a gig in New York and his harmonica player failed to make the trip. Oscher got a last minute invite to sit in, and after two songs, Muddy came over to him and asked "Can you travel?"
The late Augustus Pablo was the first to use the melodica in reggae music. He was a pioneer of "dub" reggae, which takes an existing song and edits out the vocals, and then builds on that. Pablo was a producer as well as an artist in his own right.
